Effects of the Plant Growth Hormones on the Growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis

Abstract
Gibberellin, auxin, and cytokinin tested acted as either stimulants or inhibitants to the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in Dubos complete broth.
1) The bacterial growth in Dubos broth was stimulated significantly by 10-6moles per ml and slightly by 10-moles and 10-9moles per ml of gibberellin.
2) The bacterial growth in Dubos broth was severely inhibited by 10-3moles per ml, but it was not influenced by 10-6 moles and 10-9moles per ml of auxin.
3) The bacterial growth in Dubos broth was stimulated slightly by 10-31noles and 10-6moles per ml, and drastically by 10-9moles per ml of cytokinin.
